caucasian wingnut

A friend of mine has a crush on this tree, she discovered it last summer and always talks about it. It's rare for Vancouver, only 5 in the city apparently - it's a native from the Caucasus Mountains to Iran. This one is believed to be about 90 years old. It's name is derived from the long chains of small green nutlets with wings.

  1. when I saw the title of the photo on the list, I expected a picture of some weirdo you had a run-in with

  2. yes, that is plausible although I don't think I would be savvy or nervy enough to get their photo.
