This chalk drawing by a Victoria street artist is based on the art of J.W. Waterhouse. He is considered a modern Pre-Raphaelite, working at the end of the 19th, beginning of the 20th centuries.
Ophelia is putting flowers in her hair, moments before her death by drowning.
This particular drawing had been rained on for 3 days so that added to its ghostly quality.
Started in 2010 as a daily photo blog. 2011 documented the growth in one season of a garden (see Bridal Journal).
Now I post infrequently but I still have ambitions to find an image that reflects my visual world on the west coast of BC or around the world. (Thanks for looking but don't forget all photos and text are copyrighted. No use without prior consent.)
